More than a trip, Wikipedia describes a Pilgrimage as a long journey or search of great moral or spiritual significance. A pilgrimage may involve an outer journey engaging the physical body, and it may involve an inner journey engage the psyche or spirit. Pilgrims, however, undergo a series of complicated changes that are sometimes difficult to describe in the process of a pilgrimage. Most often these changes engage the whole person. Usually pilgrims speak of being different at the end of the pilgrimage than they were when they started.
